![]() ![]() Scent Profile: Blend of spiced rum, myrrh, spikenard, Jerusalem Pine, a splash of lavender and a dash of cinnamon. I have to wonder what their EDP smells like since the cologne is such a light and crisp scent. Again, this is reserved, light and very much trying to be an aftershave than a cologne or perfume. This is like someone watered down Old Spice and removed the basenotes then added talc and maybe a hint of rum. This is, IMO, a lighter, crisper, barbershopy Old Spice minus the deep nutmeg, cinammon and amber notes that you get in Old Spice's base. ![]() I sense camphor in this, a light, crisp hint of an Old Spice tone, a light talc note. An attempt to re-create a 1940's-1960's scent called "Seaforth". It's an "Old School Aftershave Restoration Special". Quote from the site "I have cherry picked the best representations of the flower essence from all over the world Kashmir Lavender Hydrosol or flower water ( Himalayas ), French Lavender Essential Oil, Spanish Lavender Essential Oil, English Lavender, South African and Bulgarian Lavender Absolute!" ![]() Scent Profile: Made with 6 Different Lavenders. I liken the effect to how a tube amp makes music sound. I don't know what's been done to round this out, but clearly the perfumer intended to mute the sting, roll-off the high frequencies. So many other lavender scents are piercing, stinging to the nostrils, but not this one. It has the tart tannins of laveder but this fragrance has rounded the lavender and made it so that it's not piercing like so many other lavender fragrances. Scent Notes: Bergamot, Tobacco Flower, White Rose, Lilly of the Valley, White Musk, Sandalwood, Rockrose and Patchouli. I am starting to really warm up to this now. It's a Spiced, Woody, Tobacco-Rose and a hint of sparkle. *Note the dry down after 30 mins on paper smells more cohesive. I doubt a sniff off the stopper or paper is going to tell the story here. This seems like it will wear differently on different people. Possibly wear the sample and come back with an opinion off my skin. The positive to this is that the notes are all separately detectable and this has visible layers, ie, I feel like I can see the base, mid and top. Not sure where this one is supposed to be going. The scent notes give the idea that this is a floral, but the florals are the supporting pieces with Rose dominating and this seems a tad disjointed for me. I detect what seems like spicy notes of nutmeg, a dirty Patchouli, possibly a very light touch of black pepper. The opening gives up the Bergamot right away, but gives way immediately to the deeper notes. This fragrance however is a spiced masculine floral. IMO, the only fragrance that reminds me of Champagne is Creed's Vetiver-Geranium. Ingredients: Alcohol, Rose Water, Aloe, Glycerin. This sample was in my most recent order for free. Glycerin and Alum are married together to provide all with a most excellent post-shave feel while the slight menthol kick wakes you up and creates a rather sensual dry down effect Dont get me wrong, you will still get a nice burn out of her 3.5 oz Clear Apothecary Bottle, External Use Only. Champgne - This is not yet released but it's "Coming Soon". ![]()
